The Associated Builders and Contractors of West Virginia (ABCWV) today endorsed Governor Jim Justice for reelection in the 2020 General Election.

“During Justice’s first term in office, the construction industry in West Virginia has experienced considerable growth feeding off of a positive economy. Justice’s bold vision to improve our infrastructure, expand natural resource production and boost the state’s economy is keeping our workers employed and our companies hiring,” said Bryan Hoylman, President of ABCWV.

Under Governor Justice’s leadership, the state’s economy is recovering from the global COVID-19 pandemic and is growing stronger every day. In the last year, before the pandemic, over 19,000 new jobs were created in West Virginia, and the state led the country in GDP growth in 2019.

West Virginia has welcomed job growth and expansion from large and small companies thanks to Governor Justice’s leadership, including Hino Motors, Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Facebook, MPLX, Pietro Fiorentini, Northrup Grumman, Proctor & Gamble, Pratt and Whitney, Virgin Hyperloop One, and Great Barrel Company to name a few.

“The focus of our advocacy efforts at ABCWV is on creating jobs, providing a safe workplace for our employees and working under a government who wants to work with private business and not against us. Governor Justice has made it clear that his focus is our focus, and that is why our membership is strongly behind his candidacy in this upcoming election,” concluded Hoylman.

ABCWV represents the state’s merit shop construction industry. It’s members have continually supported representatives who believe in the free market and who understand that the key to success in West Virginia is a thriving and robust economy.
