The West Virginia Business and Industry Council, one of the largest business trade organizations in West Virginia, has endorsed Governor Jim Justice for re-election in the 2020 Republican Primary for Governor.

“I am pleased to inform you that the West Virginia Business & Industry Council has endorsed your candidacy for re-election in the 2020 Primary Election. Under your bold leadership, our state’s education system has improved, our state’s budget is balanced, and roads and bridges are being upgraded in all directions and every county,” said Chris Hamilton, Chairman of the West Virginia Business and Industry Council.

Governor Justice has focused on growing our economy, creating jobs, paving more roads and highways than ever, and he made education our centerpiece. Working with his friend President Donald Trump, Governor Justice has delivered on his promise of diversifying our economy, creating more opportunities for West Virginians, and tackling the drug crisis.

Hamilton concluded, “Working together, we have not only made substantial progress with our state’s business climate, but you have equipped the state’s job creators with the necessary tools and framework to make greater improvements in the years ahead. We appreciate all you have done and for partnering with the state’s business community to move our great state forward.”

The West Virginia Business & Industry Council represents a broad crosssection of West Virginia’s job creators, including healthcare, mining, insurance, retail, trucking, agricultural, construction, and other industries. Their members employ hundreds of thousands of West Virginians across the state and represent a significant percentage of the state’s economy.
