The West Virginia Chamber PAC, the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce’s political action committee, today announced the endorsement of Governor Jim Justice in the 2020 General Election for Governor.
“The West Virginia Chamber of Commerce PAC is extremely honored today to endorse Governor Jim Justice for reelection as Governor. We appreciate the Governor’s leadership in getting our highways repaired and built, and our secondary roads and bridges in much better shape,” said Steve Roberts, President, West Virginia Chamber of Commerce.
“The Governor’s proposal on broadband, which is meaningful, will lead to the expansion of broadband. We thank Governor Justice for leading in the area of helping small businesses, he has come up with a grant program that has been very helpful for our small businesses. Lastly, Governor Justice is leading our state through a pandemic, a pandemic that we all hope that will soon go away, we very much admire and appreciate his leadership during the pandemic,” Roberts concluded.
Thanks to Governor Justice’s leadership, the state’s economy is recovering from the global COVID-19 pandemic and growing stronger every day. In the last year, before the pandemic, over 19,000 news jobs were created in West Virginia, and the state led the country in GDP growth in 2019.
“Thanks to the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce, and the Chamber PAC for this endorsement,” said Governor Jim Justice. “I’m a business guy, I’m not a politician. I’ve created thousands of jobs and started businesses, so I understand the ups and downs of businesses and job creators.”
“There is a real difference in this election, the choice is between me, a business guy who is a job creator, and my opponent a trial lawyer who sues our small businesses and drives jobs away. We cannot afford to have a trial lawyer leading our state,” Justice concluded.
The West Virginia Chamber of Commerce is the largest, most influential general business organization, representing all business sectors in every state region. Members range from small business enterprises to mid-size manufacturers to energy companies’ tourism destinations to Fortune 500 corporations.
